SEO School is in session

SEO School is in session…not even sure what SEO even is? It stands for search engine optimisation. It all the stuff you have to do to get your website or your blog ranking higher in the search engines. It’s not THAT complicated but it is time consuming.

Now, I’d spent some time asking friends and hunting about on the internet trying to teach myself more about it. Lots of the stuff out there is written by web geeks for web geeks and most days its a miracle I can operate a biro so after my brain exploded I sort of gave up on it. However, a blogger (Naomi Dunford at IttyBiz) I’ve been following for about a year now has an ebook called Ninja SEO School…I downloaded and now I’m working my way through it.

So far, I’ve got to say I’m a big fan. As I said it’s time consuming so I haven’t had the chance to get around to implementing what I’ve learned but what I plan to do is to review the book here as I go along so I can share with you what I’ve learned.

I will give you my top three reasons to look into yourself:

  1. It’s easy to read and understand, she writes in a relaxed conversational style but doesn’t speak to you like you’re a moron.
  2. It covers all the bases. There’s stuff about black hat, white hat and the Google Sandbox. No, I didn’t have any idea about any of those either but she quickly gets down to brass tacks with tips and techniques you can use today.
  3. It’s inexpensive. SEO consultants bill out at £1,000 per day. This ebook is $39, which depending on the exchange rate means you can get it for about £30. Considering it’ll help you get your site up the rankings within a weekend, which is highly likely to get you a paying client, to me that represents good value for money.

I’ll be back to post some more of what I’ve learned but if you’d like to grab a copy for yourself right now, you can download your copy here

Caveat 1 – Naomi is prone to use some colourful language…don’t say I didn’t warn you.

Caveat 2 – yes, those are affiliate links. Trust me, trust my recommendations, I don’t and won’t ever recommend you buy something I haven’t tried myself or don’t wholeheartedly recommend.
